Coverage For Beneficiaries: BISP to provide health insurance

BISP will provide health insurance coverage to all its registered beneficiary families across Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD: The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan (SLIC) to provide health insurance coverage to all its registered beneficiary families across Pakistan. Under the scheme, 200,000 registered families comprising 1.2 million individuals would be entitled to an annual coverage of health insurance amounting to Rs25,000. The project would be initially launched in Faisalabad, Badin, Noshera and Quetta, said BISP chairperson Farzana Raja.
