KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday submitted his nomination papers from NA-243 for the upcoming polls.

The constituency has been created after delimitation from NA-252 and a section of NA-253 which falls in district east of Karachi.

Back in 2013, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) candidate Rashid Godal won from the area defeating JI’s Mohammad Hussain Mehanti.

Imran could not personally arrive in the port city to submit his nomination papers with Godal, who has recently joined the PTI, submitting the nomination forms in his stead.
