Shahid Afridi clarifies ‘lack of talent’ statement

The 38-year old, former captain of Pakistan's national cricket team took to Twitter congratulating the chief justice for doing a "remarkable job" by paying surprise visits to hospitals and schools which according to him, "have been of great service to the nation".

However, the cricketer also suggested that the chief justice should take time to visit the lower courts, "so that he can fix the black sheep within (lower courts) as well".

The chief justice has recently been quite active with visits to government-run facilities e.g hospital and schools in Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in order to inspect the quality of medical care and standard of education given at such facilities.

He has also taken up a number of suo motu notices for issues related to violation of basic human rights especially when they are concerning deprivation of quality healthcare, education and water for the public.
