LAHORE: Former Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said they are recommending Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif, former MNA Hamza Shehbaz and Maryam Nawaz to contest elections from at least three national assembly constituencies.

He was speaking at a meeting of parliamentary board of PML-N held on Tuesday to allot tickets. President PML-N Shehbaz Sharif chaired the meeting.

“We have suggested them to contest from multiple seats so that we could give a befitting reply to the turncoats,” he said. He added that three of them will contest for one seat at least from Lahore. He didn’t confirm from which constituencies these leaders would contest elections.

“The party will give a ticket to Chaudary Nisar only if he applies for it. The decision to whom the ticket should be allotted is underway,” said Sanaullah.

Regarding Rehman Khan’s book, he said that Fawad Chaudary and Hamza Ali Abbasi were promoting her book. “With their efforts, the book might end up as a best-seller.”

Addressing the meeting, Shehbaz said the party lives in the hearts of every Pakistani because of its public service. “The journey of composite development has been moved forward speedily during the last five years. Such candidates will be given a priority having a record of public service. The upcoming elections will forever bury the politics of deceit as the people cannot be deceived through hollow slogans of change.”

Shehbaz said that the conscious people of Pakistan are siding with the PML-N and it will achieve success with the support of the voters.

The PML-N president said that all the candidates depositing their applications for the party tickets for upcoming elections should submit their nomination papers. While issuing directions during the parliamentary board meeting at PML-N Secretariat, Shehbaz said that candidates have been issued directions to immediately deposit their nomination papers to save time. He added that remaining aspirants will withdraw their nomination papers on the issuance of party tickets. He went on to say that the PML-N candidates will take part in the elections with complete preparations.

Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, former federal and provincial ministers, including Khawaja Saad Rafique, Chaudhry Sher Ali, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Rana Tanvir Hussain, Khurram Dastagir Khan, Chaudhry Tanvir and Ahsan Iqbal also attended the meeting.
