Protest: Punjab govt cancels 6 MOUs with US

PML-N has called for a review of the country’s ties with US; urged the government to reduce reliance on foreign aid.

LAHORE: The Punjab government has cancelled six aid agreements with the United States in protest over the US raid that killed Osama Bin Laden, Law Minister Rana Sanuallah said on Friday.

“We have cancelled six MOUs (memorandums of understanding) with the United States in the fields of health, education and solid waste management,” said Sanaullah “We have informed their concerned departments about our decision. This is our protest against the Abbottabad incident.” The PML-N has called for a review of the country’s ties with Washington and urged the central government to reduce reliance on foreign aid. Bin Laden’s presence in Pakistan has led to calls by some US congressmen to cut aid to the country.

Satish Chandra | 12 years ago | Reply I. First the economic issue. Neither Pakistan nor India needs ANY money from another country. I am the world’s foremost behavioral scientist (see my blog below) and Economics is one of the behavioral sciences. In my article titled “A Magical Solution to Disaster Relief” I gave the formula: the government should invite any and all individuals and organizations including companies to “Find a need and fill it and be reimbursed at double your cost” — in normal times a 50% profit may be enough incentive — to provide food, shelter. clothing and services to shanty-dwellers and be reimbursed at 50% over their cost; the only condition should be that the goods and services they provide must be ADDITIONAL PRODUCTION and not taken from existing supplies. The shanty-dwellers can also be employed for the production. The government has an unlimited amount of money simply by printing it so long as it is used for PRODUCTION; see my article “How India’s Economy Can Grow 30% Per Year Or More” which can be found by a Google/Yahoo search with the title. The above applies to ALL goods and services to fill ALL societal needs. The same applies to capital expenditures in both the civilian and military sectors. The more money the government prints and spends, the more the economy will benefit. II. The killing of a Saudi diplomat in Pakistan to coincide with John Kerry’s visit followed by more sectarian killings are CIA-sponsored to divert the anger away from the United States. John Kerry could have had his brains blown out during his visit to the subcontinent but justice will not be done without the United States’ coast-to-coast destruction. I am India’s expert in strategic defence and the father of India’s strategic program, including the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program and in my blog titled ‘Nuclear Supremacy For India Over U.S.’, which can be found by a Yahoo search with the title, I have shown that all terrorism and insurgencies in the Indian subcontinent and in much of the rest of the world are sponsored by the C.I.A. The goal of the U.S. invasion and occupation of Afghanistan and partial occupation of Pakistan is eventual occupation and overt colonial rule over the subcontinent as a whole; India is already under covert CIA rule, through RAW. To end this, India has said that five to six nuclear bombs have been prepositioned in various cities/countries such as New Delhi, Washington and New York — see my blog — for the nuclear destruction of New Delhi, Washington and New York and later the coast-to-coast destruction of the United States.
