Shadbagh: PHA denies plans for food street

The PHA said that no food street was planned in the area and that the petition should be disposed of as baseless

LAHORE: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) informed the Lahore High Court on Friday that it had no plans to set up a food street on a greenbelt in Shadbagh Scheme-II. The reply came in the court of Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed during the hearing of a petition challenging the alleged plan to set up a food street after removing a greenbelt in Shadbagh Scheme-II. The PHA reply said that no food street was planned in the area and that the petition should be disposed of as baseless. However, counsel for the City District Government Lahore sought time to and obtain instructions. The court, accepted the request and adjourned the matter until May 27.
