Faulty instruments: Fuel pumps partially sealed in capital

Labour department also punished some factories for violation of the labour and industries laws

ISLAMABAD: The Labour and Industries department has partially sealed some fuel pumps in the capital after they were found to have faulty measuring instruments.

According to officials, teams of the department inspected the measurement instruments at fuel pumps in Sector I-10 Markaz, Sector I-9. Sector F-6 and four fuel pumps on Fateh Jhang road were inspected and partially sealed for faulty instruments. Moreover, a fuel pump on GT Road in Tarnol was completely sealed.

Pumps in Sectors I-11, F-7, F-6 were found to be in proper working order.

The teams of labour department also prosecuted some of the factories for violation of labour and industries laws which include Mujahid Steel, AR steel, Hino Twin City, Motor Experts, Honda Abx, Lasani Traders.
