MUZAFFARABAD: Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Raja Frooq Haider Khan on Sunday called the leader of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif and thanked him on behalf of the people of AJK for playing an important role in bringing amendment in the state constitution.

“Prime minister called and thanked Nawaz Sharif for his crucial support in approval of constitutional package from federal cabinet and taking keen interest in economic development of Azad Jammu and Kashmir,” PM’s spokesman said in a statement.

Nawaz Sharif said that every Pakistani has profound love for people of Kashmir and same is the case with Kashmiris who passionately love Pakistan.

Condemning the acts of brutalities against innocent Kashmiris during the blessed month of Ramazan, he said, “India will never be able to crush the freedom struggle of the people of Kashmir.”

Nawaz Sharif said that the slogan of Kashmir's accession to Pakistan is running high in the blood of every Kashmiri. “Day is not far when this dream will come true,” he added.  The former prime minister stated that no power on earth can remove the spirit of freedom from the hearts of Kashmiri youth as they are determined to take their struggle to its logical conclusion.

He also congratulated Raja Farooq Haider Khan for serving the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir in line with the manifesto of the party.
