ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Mayor Sheikh Anser Aziz Saturday urged all stakeholders to unite in support of the government’s new vaccination plan, and make Islamabad a healthy city. He made this statement while referring to Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) which he stated was an integral part of the health programme.

Quality health for all

He made this statement while addressing the participants of a capacity building workshop organized by Health Service Directorate of IMC (Islamabad Municipal Corporation). The workshop was held at the Convention Centre in Islamabad.

The mayor informed the participants that Health Service Directorate of IMC was ensuring that vaccinators could reach every housing unit to immunise every child of the city to ensure the good health of the future generations.  For this purpose, the IMC was taking steps to impart training to people of different walks of life so that awareness regarding the immunisation programme could be provided, he added.
