Community policing: Police facilitation centres help over 4,000 citizens

Total of 908 cases of traffic licences and excise documentation were verified

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Police Assistance Lines (PAL) centres have facilitated 4,754 citizens in police-related issues throughout the province during the last five months of the current year.

The K-P police department has established several centres called "Police Assistance Lines" to provide people with full assistance regarding matters of FIR, Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs),registration of vehicles, security clearance certificates, help against robberies, extortions and other issues.

According to the spokesperson of police department said that during this period a total of 908 cases of traffic licences and excise documentation were verified.

Similarly, 2,064 Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) were verified for the applicants and 842 police verifivation character certificates were issued to the government servants.
