LAHORE: Where other provincial governments have launched policies on commonly talked-about governance sectors, the Punjab government has launched the province’s first-ever information technology policy. The policy aims to target the divide over technology usage between genders and among different segments of population. It also intends to enhance use of technological tools in common workplaces and systems. After the launch of Arfa Karim Technology Park, the Information Technology policy of the Punjab government is another step that would take the province ahead in terms of progress and development.
