As with the rapidly changing climate patterns the monsoon rainfall pattern too has drastically changed
KARACHI: According to a report, Pakistan will have no water available by the year 2025. As with the rapidly changing climate patterns the monsoon rainfall pattern too has drastically changed. Southern regions are left with little to no rainfall and northern areas are experiencing sporadic rains with unusual snowfalls in the months leading up to the spring season. Perhaps the government is still failing to realise that for Pakistan, water management, agriculture and economic activity are tightly looped together.
The results of such failure can already be seen as water supply is severely inadequate in many parts of the country with production of many fruits like mango being already reduced to half.
