QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudus Bizenjo on Tuesday approved Balochistan Health Policy under which health cards would be issued to poor patients for free medical assistance.

The policy was approved in the second session of the last cabinet meeting. Following the recommendation of the cabinet’s sub-committee, amendments to Balochistan Civil Servant Act, 1974 and Balochistan Drug Rules 2018 were also approved and would be sent to the provincial assembly for further action.

Cabinet members expressed satisfaction over the CM’s “earnest efforts for resolving provincial issues”. The members lauded the provincial government for “coming up with a balanced annual budget”.

The cabinet also approved amendments to Gidani Ship Breaking Yard Rules, 1979 and approved increase in ship-breaking price to Rs800 per ton.
