Ranbir Kapoor's performance in 'Sanju' trailer will blow you away

'One man...many lives,' is an apt description of the film and Ranbir has managed to perfect each one!

The trailer of the much-awaited Sanjay Dutt’s biopic Sanju is finally out and it definitely goes way beyond our expectations. Ranbir Kapoor, who essays the role of the controversial actor, is seen in the many avatars the 90s icon has sported over the years.

From the 1990s till today, the trailer of the biopic captures the lifelong story of the Khalnaayak star. In the opening scene of the trailer, Ranbir is seen as the late 90s Sanjay, who is all set to unveil his biography.

In that era, Sanjay was battling with addiction, depression, his time in jail and rehab, and may we say that Ranbir has managed to perfect every look! The Tamasha star is truly unrecognisable in most parts.

From drugs to bodybuilding, private planes to begging on the streets, the most luxurious of hotels to the gloomy prison cells – the trailer portrays all the different stages of Sanjay’s life as narrated by him himself.

The film also shows the time when Sanjay faced charges of terrorism in 2007, as a court sentenced the Munna Bhai star to six years' rigorous imprisonment for illegal possession of weapons and cleared him of charges relating to the Mumbai blasts.

The three minute trailer shows his ordeal with grave charges. It also showcases various relationships and the impact they had on Sanjay's life.

For instance, how his father Sunil Dutt, played by Paresh Rawal, refused to give up on him despite trying times, how the failing health of his mother Nargis Dutt, played by Manisha Koirala, made him a drug addict, his much talked about love life, marriage and much more.

The movie also stars Sonam Kapoor as Sanjay's love interest Tina Munim, Anushka Sharma as a journalist who might be penning down Sanjay's story, Dia Mirza as his wife Manyata and Vicky Kaushal, who plays the actor's best friend.

Sanju will hit cinemas on June 29.
