DERA GHAZI KHAN: A Tanzanian woman arrested from a sensitive area in Dera Ghazi Khan, has reportedly revealed important information concerning possible terrorist activities in Pakistan.

Express 24/7 reported that a foreigner, Roheela Yasmeen, had disclosed information about possible terror attacks in the country including Quetta, Peshawar, and Karachi.

Yasmeen was picked up by Dera Ghazi Khan police on May 12, near the Atomic Energy Commission installations in Dera Ghazi Khan.

Initial investigations had revealed that her identity was not per the identity card that she was carrying on her person.

During investigations conducted by police and intelligence officials, she revealed that significant terror attacks would come to pass over the next five days. She also warned that Taliban will attack dressed as women.

These predictions came true with an alleged suicide bombing attempt in Quetta and the murder of a Saudi diplomat in Karachi over the corresponding time period.

Express 24/7 also managed to secure a copy of her Tanzanian birth certificate which shows that she was born on October 1, 1959 and hails from a town called Aroosha.

In 2004, she had also applied for asylum in Afghanistan

Authorities believe that Yasmeen reached Loralai on May 12 and managed to enter Dera Ghazi Khan despite a ban by the Interior Ministry on foreigner movement in the district.

Sources also say that it was not immediately clear whether she was working for any foreign agencies or terror groups.

A case has been registered against her in the Saddar Police Station under the Foreigners Act, FIR 138/11. She was presented in front of a magistrate on May 14 who then sent her to the Central Jail till her identity could be further clarified.
