Sonam Kapoor resembles Sanjay Dutt's love interest in 'Sanju' poster

Since it was announced that Sonam Kapoor will be starring in Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju, fans have been speculating the character she will play. While the role is a very small one, it's sure to be a substantial one, reported The Indian Express.

The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and is based on the life of Bollywood's controversial artist Sanjay Dutt. Earlier, it was suggested that Sonam would be playing Sanjay's rumoured love interest Madhuri Dixit or Tina Munim but no confirmation has been received on the same.

Lately, yet another poster of Sanju was released which not only shows Ranbir but also features Sonam. Sporting a bob, Sonam's character seems to be having a fun time with the lead. On the other hand, Ranbir dons a black and white bomber jacket with a near-perfect replica of Sanjay in the poster.

While her look resembles that of Tina from the 80s and 90s, one cannot be sure if she will actually be playing the former Bollywood actor.

Sonam and Ranbir's chemistry looks amazing and people are excited to see them together after the two made their debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya.

Sharing the poster on Twitter, Rajkumar wrote, "A still from Sanju's crazy, romantic love life."

Apart from Ranbir and Sonam, Sanju also stars Manisha Koirala, Karishma Tanna, Jim Sarbh and Anushka Sharma in pivotal roles amongst many others. The film is set to hit screens on June 29.
