RDA director general orders action

Newly appointed DG issued these directives while chairing meeting held to review performance of RDA

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Director General, Rana Akbar Hayat on Wednesday directed the officers concerned to take strict action against illegal housing schemes and provide relief to the citizens The newly appointed DG issued these directives while chairing a meeting held to review performance of Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) of RDA. Director MP&TE, Director Land Use and Building Control (LU&BC), Director Architecture and other officers attended the meeting. Director MP&TE gave a detailed presentation about work of the MP&TE Directorate. The DG directed the officers to make all out efforts to provide relief to general public. He said, the citizens should be informed about Building and Zoning Regulations and illegal housing schemes. The authorities concerned instructed to upload details of illegal private and cooperative housing societies of Rawalpindi on RDA’s official website. He directed the officials to work hard to redress complaints of the citizens adding “an honest employee even Naib Qasid is important for me.” The illegal and unauthorized constructions and commercial activities should also be checked and no relaxation should be given to anyone, he added.
