Bureaucracy braced for major shake-up
A statement issued after the meeting said that caretaker PM should be appointed from any of the three PTI nominees – former chief justice of Pakistan Tassaduq Hussain Jillani, former governor State Bank of Pakistan Dr Ishrat Hussain and Abdul Razak Dawood, an industrialist who served as federal minister during the Musharraf era.
The PTI huddle reviewed its 100-day agenda after coming into power and discussed measures to achieve the targets. The meeting also discussed the formation of a parliamentary board to award tickets for general elections. It fixed May 31 as deadline for receiving applications for seats reserved for women and minorities.
Shehbaz fires a broadside at Imran, Zardari
The meeting reviewed “mega scandals involving the Punjab government” including Ashiana Housing Scheme, Sasti Roti, metro bus and orange train. It also discussed the performance of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government and “praised Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak and his team”.
