PESHAWAR: A local court on Wednesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants of a US national Aaron Mark DeHaven who was deported earlier on Monday. The court of Judicial Magistrate Qudratullah Marwat issued the warrants following his non-appearance in the court. DeHaven’s counsel Ali Raza expressed his surprise over the court’s verdict. When the proceedings started, I asked the court to the ask prosecution if it was interested in further proceedings of this case since his client has been deported on federal government’s orders, Raza said while speaking to The Express Tribune. The court, instead, issued non-bailable arrest warrants for his client, he said, adding that the prosecution was also finding it difficult to frame charges against DeHaven who has already been deported.
