Ali was addressing a ceremony at SZABIST to screen inspirational videos developed around different family planning themes, including women empowerment and responsible adulthood.
The videos were developed by faculty and students of the institute's media sciences department for Sukh Initiative; first urban family planning project of Pakistan being implemented in Karachi with the patronage of Aman Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Lucile & Packard Foundation.

Shahnaz termed the videos as important means to highlight social and behavioural change. Trustee Aman Foundation Dr Saadia Qureshi also deemed the developed videos as having powerful messages for the youths.
Head of Sukh Initiative Dr Haris Ahmed explained the rationale behind engaging university students to develop inspirational videos on family planning. He termed it highly important to engage youth in promoting family planning and taking up leadership roles in future.
Executive Director Centre for Communication Programmes Pakistan (CCP) Dr Atif Ikram Butt appreciated the efforts of students and noted that real learning comes from taking real-life approach.
The ceremony was attended by students, faculty and senior officials of the institute, representatives of Sindh government, officials of Aman Health, Sukh Initiative as well as CCP which provided technical support to SZABIST in developing the videos.
