ISLAMABAD: Confident about his party’s victory in the next general elections, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan is all set to unveil today (Sunday) his party’s first 100-day plan after coming into power.

“Imran Khan will unveil priorities and targets of a PTI government for the first 100 days in power,” said a statement issued by the party’s central media department on Saturday.

The statement said the PTI had made this plan with the support of eminent experts and had invited civil society representatives, party leaders and experts to attend the ceremony.

According to sources, the plan includes setting up of a responsive system of governance, restructuring of economic, health and education policies, reforms in taxation system and a robust foreign and national security policy.

Senior PTI leader Asad Umar said the plan would pave the way for a brighter future of the country. A similar plan was also made public by Khan just days before 2013 general elections, but his party failed to muster enough numbers to make the government.

After the April 29 rally of the party in Lahore, the PTI chief – while chairing a meeting of senior party leadership at his residence in Bani Gala – had declared his party ‘a government in waiting’ and advised the leadership to act like one.
