SHABQADAR: The Mohmand Agency political administration Friday banned the sale of cigarettes and naswar to underaged consumers. In a directive issued on Friday, the political administration banned the sale of cigarettes and naswar to the youth younger than 20-years-of-age. It warned that if anyone was found selling the substances to underaged people in the agency, they will be imprisoned. The administration has also banned the sale of substandard chips and ice cream following complaints from locals. The agency’s administration also released 13 people, convicted of committing petty crimes, from the Ghallanai jail after commuting their sentences in honour of the holy month of Ramazan.
