Woman poisoned to death by her husband, young girl commits suicide over domestic dispute

FAISALABAD: A woman was poisoned to death by her husband in the area of Civil Line police station on Friday. A police official said that 28-year-old Naveeda Bibi married Amjad five years ago but the couple did not had children. The couple used to have arguments over the matter. In a fit of rage, Amjad reportedly gave poison to Naveeda and as a result she died. The police took the body into custody and started investigation after registering case on complaint of Shafiq, brother of ill-fated woman. Meanwhile, a young girl committed suicide over domestic dispute in the area of Samanabad police station. The police said that 25-year-old Gulshan Bibi consumed poisonous chemical after quarreling with her in-laws over a domestic issue. She was rushed to hospital where she breathed her last. In other incidents, 27-year-old Najma, 32-year-old Yasmeen, 25-year-old Raza and Akmal also consumed poisonous pills and were shifted to hospitals for treatment.
