SC summons over 200 individuals, companies for getting loans waived off

The persons and companies listed in the notification have been told to submit their response by June 8

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan issued on Monday notices to 222 individuals and companies that illegally got loans written off from 1971 to 2009.

"As per report of the Commission constituted by this Court, action against 222 individuals/companies has been recommended on account of the fact that the loans were not written-off in accordance with law," read a statement issued by the top court.

Therefore, it continued, in compliance of above court order, following individuals/companies have been issued notices to ensure their appearance on next date of hearing i.e. 08.06.2018 and submit their replies within such date."

In compliance of the SC order, the registrar office has sent notices to the aforementioned to ensure their appearance on the scheduled day of hearing and submit their replies.
