Confused? Don’t be. Just get your dancing shoes out ‘cause the Backstreet Boys are back with brand new music and no, we’re not playing games with your heart. Backstreet really is back!
'The trick is to promote a story, not just a song'
After five long, long years, the iconic 90s group has released its newest single Don't Go Breaking My Heart and we guarantee it will be stuck in your head all day long. "The minute we heard this song, we knew it was special," E! News quoted band member Kevin Richardson as saying. "I geeked out over the piano and synths. When that groove drops on the second verse… come on! It’s a great verse, hook and melody. Just makes you wanna listen over and over again."
Don't Go Breaking My Heart is the boys’ first track under RCA Records and comes on the heels of their 25th anniversary as a group. But while they haven't released new music recently, Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean, Howie D and of course, Kevin have been busy working together on their Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life Las Vegas residency, which has been extended up till November next year. Meanwhile, they've also said they're currently working on their 10th studio album.
Clearly, the Backstreet Boys have lots and lots in store for us. Fans can expect a whole lot of getting down from this next chapter in the band’s life. "We've been working for 25 years," AJ said in a statement. "With the support of RCA and our contemporaries, we know we'll be performing for fans, both old and new, for a really long time. It feels like we're just getting started."
What can we say? We most certainly want it that way!
