On the same day as KESC CEO Tabish Gauhar’s press conference, Sindh Minister for Electric Power Shazia Marri expressed her grave concern over the ongoing dispute between the company and its employees, alleging that KESC just had “lame” excuses to hide its failure to provide an uninterrupted power supply to its consumers.
She said that the Sindh government had mediated to solve the dispute between the KESC management and its employees in January but to no avail. She described KESC’s performance as dismal, added that the government was helping KESC, which is a private company, so that it could provide relief to the people of the city and the company must not forget this fact.
