RAWALPINDI: Women and children suffering from malnutrition were provided 82,400 nutrient sachets in March and April to overcome food deficiency, said Additional Deputy Commissioner Sara Hayat on Thursday. Chairing a meeting at DC office, she said that 246 children suffering from nutrition deficiency have been admitted to hospitals in March and April while earlier 444 undernourished children were admitted in the hospital and 280 children were discharged after recovering from deficiency in March and April. She said a healthy mother and child was essential for a healthy society and this message should be conveyed in every nook and cranny of the district.
