ISLAMABAD:
The 12th five-year plan includes rural transformation in the priority list to understand the sensitivity of the issues in Pakistan. Centre for Rural Economy (CRE) Chief Executive Officer Dr Aamer Irshad said this at a seminar organised by the Centre of Rural Economy on successful development models in Pakistan, where Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Pakistan representative Mina Dowlatchahi attended the event as a chief guest. In her inaugural address, she said effective rural development strategies are central in achieving Sustainable Development Goals, under the ‘leave no one behind’ principle.
