Every one should put water coolers outside their homes
PESHAWAR: According to weather updates, the upcoming week will witness a striking increase in temperatures followed by weeks of crippling heat in the country. In the wake of this announcement and with the month of Ramazan only beginning, it is important that citizens unite for those who live on the streets — not by choice but because of their crippling poverty — and have little to nothing to eat.
Every one, irrespective of that fact whether they are fasting or not, should put water coolers outside their homes and perhaps instead of spending on lavish iftar buffets should use that money to provide food for the needy, and stay true to the essence of Ramazan. The month of fasting isn’t just about experiencing what the poor and needy experience in terms of starvation, but it also requires one to go out of their way and put food on the plates of those who cannot afford it.
