KARACHI: The Indian Member of Parliament KD Singh has yet to transfer his share of the ransom to pay the Somali pirates, said Human Rights Activist Ansar Burney speaking to the media in Karachi on Wednesday.

Burney said he would wait for a response from the Indian MP till Thursday evening.

He further added that if KD Singh did not respond, an appeal will be made to the public to raise the remainder amount.

Singh had pledged to chip in $500,00 in the ransom needed for the release of abducted sailors but had now gone back on his words and had ceased to attend his calls according to Burney.

SAK | 12 years ago | Reply @ Raj: Please read the earlier post, titled "Release of sailors delayed due to non-payment of ransom by India: Burney." You will surely benefit from learning that the Indian Senator had pledged an amount of US$500,000 as his share to free the Indian sailors on board the kidnapped vessel. Please be aware of the facts before jumping on the anti-Pakistan-shining-India bandwagon. True, Pakistan does some despicable things, but that's no reason to paint us as the black sheep all the time!
