Buddha birth anniversary: Mirza attends UN ceremony

Fehmida Mirza appreciates steps being taken by UN to promote the enlightenment and teachings of Buddha.

ISLAMABAD: Speaker of the National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza attended the 2,600th birth anniversary of the founder of Buddhism Gautama Buddha held at the United Nations on Monday. Mirza, in her address to the ceremony, appreciated the steps being taken by the UN to promote the enlightenment and teachings of Buddha.
