KARACHI: A teenage boy was shot dead and buried at his own home apparently in the name of honour in the city's Manghopir area.

Police officials said that Azizur Rehman, 18, was shot dead by his uncle, identified as Chanar Khan, about a week ago and later buried inside his home.

They said that the incident came into their notice after the victim's grandfather informed police that his son had killed his grandson and later dumped the body at his home.

Reacting to the information, police reached the site and exhumed the body, which was later shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy.

The accused managed to flee, said the police officials. However, a case has been lodged against him and further investigations are underway, they added.

The victim’s body was later handed over the family for burial.
