Four killed, one injured in Bhakkar
Bus headed to Multan from Dera Ismail Khan collides with a rickshaw
BHAKKAR:
Four people, including two women, were killed while one person was injured after a bus collided with a rickshaw on Mianwali-Muzaffargarh Road on Thursday.
The bus, which was headed to Multan from Dera Ismail Khan, collided with a rickshaw which was travelling in the opposite direction.
The incident claimed the lives of Farzana and Sughra Bibi who belonged to the same family, while Imtiaz and Ataullah were also killed in the collision, revealed rescue workers.
The bus driver fled the scene of the crime. Police said the incident took place due to over speeding. Rescue 1122 shifted Fatima Bibi, who had sustained injuries during the incident, to the district headquarters hospital.
The bodies of the deceased were also shifted to the hospital for a post mortem, after which they will be handed over to their respective families. Police have registered a case against the bus driver, the owner of the bus company and the highway department.
