KARACHI: Construction tycoon Latif Sorathia was abducted by unidentified suspects on Tuesday.
CCTV footage showed the noted builder being kidnapped by two, one sporting a police uniform. Police said an FIR of the incident had been registered following a complaint by Sorathia's son.
Child recovered shortly after abduction, two suspects killed
Earlier in February, an eight-year-old girl was recovered by police six days after being kidnapped. Officials also claimed to have arrested two suspects allegedly involved in the kidnapping.
Fida Hussain, the father of the abducted girl, had registered a complaint at the Boat Basin police station on January 25 on the kidnapping of his daughter against Nazeran Bibi alias Rani and Nazar Muhammad alias Malang.
