The Sindh High Court (SHC) issued notices to the Board of Revenue, Sindh advocate-general (AG) and others while staying the illegal allotment of Safari Park land. The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) had approached the SHC to order cancellation of the allotment. A two-member bench heard the case. KMC's counsel, Sameer Ghazanfar, maintained that KMC was awarded 30 acres of land in 1970. However, the revenue board cancelled the land allotment without considering the position of the KMC and re-allotted it to a non-governmental individual. After hearing arguments from both parties, the court issued a stay order.
