Army chief praises efforts of law enforcement for restoring Karachi peace

COAS directed to continue the efforts to maintain success

KARACHI:
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday appreciated the efforts of the Sindh Rangers and other law enforcement agencies for restoring peace in Karachi, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

General Bajwa visited Corps Headquarters Karachi where he was briefed on the security situation of the province and the port city in particular.

The COAS also praised the efforts of security forces in reviving economic activity throughout the city, added ISPR.

He also directed to continue the efforts and improve the situation further.

On Sunday, the COAS condemned the attack on Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal and expressed his wishes for Iqbal's speedy recovery.
