ISLAMABAD: The 18th Amendment Implementation Commission has delayed the devolution of three ministries to provinces due to time constraints.

The decision was taken at a commission meeting chaired by Senator Raza Rabbani in Islamabad.

The ministries of Sports, Environment and Women Development were to be devolved in the third phase, but will now be devolved in the fourth phase with four other ministries in June.

The commission has also summoned top officials of the health ministry for a briefing on issues regarding the devolution of the ministry.

The government has already issued notifications for the transfer of the ministries of Education, Social Welfare and Special Education, Tourism, Livestock and Dairy, Rural Development and Culture.
