Speeding: Two killed in road accidents

Police shifted the body to a local hospital for legal formalities

RAHIM YAR KHAN: At least two people were killed in separate road accidents in Rahim Yar Khan on Sunday.

In the first incident, 65-year-old Bilqees Bibi, a resident of Arifabad, was riding a motorcycle when another speedy two-wheeler coming from an opposite direction hit her. As a result, Bilqees died on the spot.

The police shifted the body to a local hospital for legal formalities.

A man was crushed to death by a vehicle in Chak No 197. The police said Muhammad Yar was crossing a road when a speedy vehicle hit him resulting in his immediate death. Rescue officials shifted the body to hospital for legal formalities.

In yet another incident, two people were injured when a passenger van flipped over due to
tyre burst.

Police said that a passenger van bearing registration number MNA-3752 was on its to Bahawalpur from Rahim Yar Khan when one of its tyres burst near Ada Chak 86-P.
