Officials say that the truck driver lost control of his lorry

ISLAMABAD:
At least two motorbike riders were killed and several others were injured in two separate road accidents in the capital, the police said on Sunday. In the first incident, officials said that a speeding truck rammed into a motorbike at Sangjiani toll plaza on May 4, killing motorbike rider Babar Gul.

Officials said that the truck driver apparently lost control of his lorry after the accident and went on to hit construction machine, injuring at least five people.

The Tarnol police have registered a case against the unidentified truck driver who had fled the scene after the accident. In another accident, a taxi struck a motorbike and killed its driver in Sector I-10/1 on May 5. The cabbie has been booked by the Sabzi Mandi police for manslaughter but has yet to be arrested.

Later on Sunday, a view started circulating online of an accident on Jinnah Avenue. Meanwhile, a house was robbed by unidentified burglars in the Jhangi Syedan area, within the remits of the Noon police.
