Online maid service gaining traction

ISLAMABAD: Online home maid service provider companies are on the rise in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The consumers of online services say the services provide maids on per hour basis conveniently. Nageena Hayat said that the service had helped her hire home maids for per hour instead of hiring for a month, this way she can better regulate the use and cost of a maid.



She said that most families are unable to pay monthly salaries to maids but they can easily hire the services of these per hour maids from the online service providers. Talking to the owner of one such online service provider, Suniya Saadullah Khan said that they had created a tool for “on-demand service for maids and cleaners.”



“We provide temporary personnel for urgent needs, for which we charge the customer an hourly rate,” she said, adding that, “we intend to be an online platform that connects uneducated female workers with real-time work opportunities.”
