Leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah said on Sunday that elections are influenced by ‘aliens’ everywhere in the world.

In an apparent reference to Nawaz Sharif’s remarks about fighting unseen powers, the Pakistan Peoples Party leader said such statements are touted at us because there is a vacuum of leadership.

Feeling positive about his party's performance in the upcoming elections he said: "Nevertheless, we will soon have Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as the face of our leadership."

Shah further added that while unseen forces are not visible to the naked eye, scientific evidence proves that they exist and when it comes to elections here in Pakistan or anywhere in the world their role is always complicit in the outcome.

Alluding to the formation of a caretaker government Shah said that an acting prime minister will be nominated by the May 15 or 16.

Not discrediting chances of a coalition in the future, Shah said there are no permanent friends or foes in politics.

Commenting on the fate of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar, Shah said that the split up of the party had left Sattar in abject anxiety as his own people have turned against him.
