Man gunned down in Faisalabad

Police registers case and shifts body to local hospital

FAISALABAD: A man was shot dead in a village in Dijkot police limits on Friday. A police official said that 24-year-old Sonan Ahmed alias Sohna Jatt, a resident of Chak No 86-GB, was travelling in his car when some unidentified armed miscreants opened indiscriminate fire on his vehicle. As a result, he died on the spot. Police have registered a case and shifted the body to a local hospital for legal formalities. The police said that motive behind the murder could not be ascertained as yet, however further investigation was under way.
