Economic revival: Extension in PM’s relief package sought

PESHAWAR: Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Commerce and ANP Senator, Ilyas Ahmad Bilour has sought a two-year extension in the prime minister’s relief package for the economic revival of FATA and PATA.

In this connection, Senator Bilour, former president of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) also called on Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and requested him for a two-year extension in the relief package and briefed him on the ongoing terrorism and extremism in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa that has made the running of the industries and businesses very difficult.

Hence, for the revival of the economy of the province, he said the extension in the financial package was inevitable.
