KARACHI: Meera Jee has always been one to make headlines, regardless of whether or not she has done anything news worthy. This time, she is about to make headlines again, but for a very good reason.

Sources have revealed that a film is being made on Meera's life, directed by ace ad film-maker Saqib Malik. This will be his directorial debut on the big screen.

Malik while talking to The Express Tribune denied its not Meera-centric its actually a social drama catering multi characters, we are not on shoot, it’s just rumour mills as we have been doing rehearsal for film, can’t reveal much now, I will make an official announcement soon."

The film will have elements inspired from Meera’s life, including her journey within the film industry as an actor and her rise to fame. It will also depict her viral sex-tape and pictures which caused her career’s downfall.

Although the plot is inspired from some aspects of the Nazar star's life, the film is not a biopic.

The sources further revealed that although it can be classed as a multi-genre film, it is mainly a thriller.

The film's title has not been finalised yet. However, the cast includes Ali Kazmi, Osman Khalid Butt, Mawra Hocane, Nayyer Aejaz, Meera Jee amongst others.
