An additional district and sessions judge on Monday summoned the prosecution witnesses by May 28, in the case of Justice Javed Iqbal’s parents’ murder.
Judge Ameer Muhammad Khan had previously summoned the prosecution witnesses Saeed Iqbal, Hafiz Muhammad Aslam, Haroon Saeed, Muhammad Hanif, Malik Shafqat, Ziauddin, judicial magistrate Rana Sajid Safdar, Factory Area Sub Inspectors Rana Adeel, Qasim Ali, Shabbir Ahmed and 25 others, but they did not appear in court due to the lawyers’ strike. The court then directed the prosecution to ensure the presence of the witnesses on the next hearing.
