New power plant to be set up at BKIA 

Directive was issued by Adviser to Prime Minister on Aviation Sardar Mahtab Khan

As work continues on expanding facilities at the Bacha Khan International Airport (BKIA) in Peshawar, a top government official has directed that a new power plant must be set up at the facility.

This directive was issued by the Adviser to the Prime Minister on Aviation Sardar Mahtab Khan as he visited the facility on Sunday.

During the visit, he said that Peshawar was the capital and heart of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and has an important destination due to its geographical location and strategic importance in the region.

Hence, he said, it was vital that the best air transport facilities are provided to passengers at the Peshawar airport.
