Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) – Pakistan MPA Yousaf Shahwani joined the Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP), along with his supporters and Ismaili community members on Saturday.

PSP chief Mustafa Kamal said that a majority of PSP members are present in the Sindh Assembly and are playing the role of the opposition.

He said that if decisions were taken without consulting his party, they will not accept them.

Shahwani bid farewell to MQM-Pakistan by making a formal announcement at a press conference at Pakistan House, flanked by Kamal and Anis Qaimkhani on Saturday.

A caretaker government cannot be formed without consulting the PSP as it is the largest opposition party, claimed Kamal, warning that if decisions were taken without consulting them, they will not be acceptable.

He thanked the people of Hyderabad for participating in PSP’s protest rally and supporting the party in its endeavours. He said that sewage water was present in mosques and imambargahs for weeks and the municipal system was in a bad state.

He claimed that money from corruption in municipal institutions was still going to London and Altaf Hussain was receiving it.

“People have rejected the current rulers. The time has come to vote for the dolphin because only the dolphin can put Pakistan on the road to progress,” Kamal said.

He said the federal government should be ashamed that it is making the budget of the entire country from Karachi’s money.

“People from Ismaili community are also joining us. They are a peaceful and literate community that make decisions carefully. Let’s see what accusations are levelled against them,” he said.
