Defeating the militants is not the responsibility of the armed forces alone.
ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to your editorial of May 13 titled “Defence of the nation”. Defeating the militants is not the responsibility of the armed forces alone. The whole of society, including the civilian law-enforcement agencies, such as the police, have a role to play in this. Those who maintain that the army has not done anything, must remember Swat and South Waziristan. It was through the army’s sacrifices that these areas were cleared. So do not just criticise. Please give credit where credit it is due.
