IHC rejects plea against Czech embassy security block

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday rejected a plea to remove security blocks from outside the Czech Republic embassy.

Residents of Islamabad's sector H-6 II had filed a petition against security blocks placed outside the embassy, stating that they were facing problems because of the blocks.

Deputy Attorney General Shafi Muhammad Chandio told the court that the blocks were in placed to avoid any untoward situation.

A spokesperson of the interior ministry added that the embassy would soon be shifted to another location.

The verdict was given by Justice Riaz Ahmed Khan.
