Initial investigations by the police suggest that woman’s husband allegedly killed her and fled from their home

Police on Friday recovered the body of a woman who was allegedly murdered by her husband the previous night. Initial investigation by the police suggested the woman’s husband allegedly killed her and fled from their home in Khan Akbar Town near Zia Masjid in Khana police remits. The woman’s body was later recovered from the house with her face mutilated. Police suspected the man might have killed his wife for her alleged relations with another man in the neighbourhood. The man while fleeing the spot, reportedly telephoned his married daughter telling her that her mother was injured and she should take her to a hospital. Police said they were investigating the case but the suspect could not be immediately traced. Meanwhile, police recovered the body of a young man from Korang River near Bhara Kahu. The deceased was identified as Mozan Sajjad, a resident of Rawat in Rawalpindi.
